Our line of the Booth Family begins with John and Charity Bryant Booth. John Booth was born between 1775 and 1785.  John and Charity were married November 25, 1802 in Bedford County, Virginia. Through land and census records, we have learned that John and Charity were landowners and farmers. They had six children, only three are known at this time. They are William, Judy, and Anderson.

William Booth married Elizabeth Witt in Green County, Kentucky on October 14, 1822. Elizabeth was the daughter of Charles Witt and Agnes (Nancy) Logan. Elizabeth was born in Barren County, Kentucky on May 20, 1806.

Judy Booth, born about 1804 in Barren County, married Janiel (Jahiel) William May 3, 1823 in Barren County, Kentucky.

Anderson Booth was born in 1805 in Barren County, Kentucky. He died between 1840-1850 in Jefferson County, Illinois. Anderson married Margaret Holtzclaw January 8, 1827 in Barren County, Kentucky. Margaret was born in 1809 also in Barren County. She was the daughter of James Henry and Rhoda Brooksher Holtzclaw.

Anderson and Margaret's children were:

James Josiah Booth
Mary Booth
Sarah Ellen Booth
John William Booth
Elizabeth M. Booth
Martha Booth

For now, this website is focused primarily on the descendants of Anderson and Margaret Holtzclaw Booth.

A book on the history of the Booth family entitled "Looking Through the Booth Generations, Remembering Where We Came From" was printed several years ago.. The time period is from the late 1700's to the present. It traces 8 generations of the family from Kentucky to Illinois, various other states & Canada! There are over 750 people, 113 photographs, approximately 50 legal documents, PLUS letters, Bible records, news articles, letters, stories, maps, etc. in the 288 pages. Due to additional information being received sometimes on a daily basis, I am no longer offering this one for sale. I am debating whether to issue an updated version, but I want to make sure I have received as much information as possible before compiling another version. If you wish to contribute, make changes, or want to help in any way, please e-mail me at vicky@seibelfamily.net
